I arrived in NYC in October 2007 on a red-eye from California, a flight I would come to know very well. I met my roomie Jen in front of our new apartment where she greeted me with a hug. We lugged my two suitcases (a.k.a. my life) up to our third floor walk-up. The apartment was small, but it was ours. I spent the next four years making a new home for myself. New friends, new climate and a new lifestyle. It took awhile but I came to truly love NYC.
But a California girl at heart, I always knew I'd return to the West coast. So here I am. I'm back. And I'm moving to Seattle...

I'm excited. Really excited.
It's fun moving to a new city. The next few months will be spent decorating our new apartment, discovering new places, meeting new people, (finding a job). But I also know lonely and dreary times are ahead, so I really want to make an effort to keep in touch with the friends I suddenly find myself separated from by 3000+ miles and 2 time zones.
Je te présente a blog.
I will report back on Seattle's weather (The forecast says rain. Did you guys know it rains here?), trash habits (Nick: "I compost now"), food (sushi) and other randomness that comes with living somewhere new.
This is it. My new home...

I am so happy for you Love! It's going to be amazing. We miss you already.
